Also, when you buy 40s (caguamas), stores make you leave a deposit for the glass bottle, usually about 20 pesos or so. My friend told me that there was a trend that lasted for a summer: everyone would ask stores to put the beer in a plastic bag, as a way of avoiding the bottle deposit. I like thinking about trends that exist in just one place for a small amount of time.
How is it possible that my own handwriting -- the lazy cursive and the inconsistencies in the way I make my Rs and Ns -- distracts me while I attempt to write down even one complete sentence about my day.
I'm better at writing lists. One word at a time.
This morning I hastily made a notebook, using a piece of pink posterboard (that fades nicely to a light pastel from being exposed to the sun) for the cover.
