I took my last final exam this morning, bought some kale, slept for 4 hours, returned 15 books to the library, some of which had accrued $30.50 in overdue fines, and then checked out these books:

It's finally warm. I'm going to make a list of things to do and places to go. I'll start it right now, but I can't think about it too much because I don't have time to do anything yet. This is both a list for warm weather and a list for my life as a college graduate (beginning exactly one month from tomorrow).

1. Eat strawberries, nectarines, blueberries, plums, raspberries
2.
Outdoor everything
3. Make a book out of the internet (quickly)
4. Jamaica Pond and other bodies of water
5. Grow a container garden
6. Read a billion books (a separate list is devoted to this)
7. Use a real sketchbook instead of little scraps of paper
8. Find a new home for the fall, with lots of sunlight
9. Tortillas, avocado, citrus, fresh bread, yogurt, cheese
10. Stronger legs

etc.

Stop Being Stupid

I was pressing so hard while coloring the letters that I broke my orange crayon.

Spider

Today on the T, I noticed that the man standing across from me had a brown, thick-legged,thumbnail-sized spider crawling up his thigh. It looked vaguely dangerous, and I was going to warn him about it. But he not only had headphones on and was playing some sort of game on his phone, he was also wearing sunglasses. He had effectively made himself completely unapproachable. I watched the spider crawl across the fly of his pants and disappear underneath his North Face fleece before he got off the train.

PS: It was just brought to my attention that I really should have said something to him. Now I feel like an asshole.

April

Today I put my 100% wool forest green sweater at the very back of my closet, because it's April now. I also ate an entire bag of spinach.

These Sour Patch Kids are poisoned

I bought a paper bag full of sour patch kids yesterday and ate some of them very discreetly while sitting in the library. They left an awful, bitter taste in my mouth that lingered for the rest of the day. It tasted like the time I swallowed a little bit of shampoo in the shower.

This morning I woke up and had some more of them, for breakfast.

.

Update! the internet told me that the real culprit was the handful of pine nuts I ate a few days ago. I love diagnostic message boards.
"Like I licked the bottom of a bicycle tire or something. Wife had a slight case of it but I ate more and suffered all day each day with it. Like it is in my saliva."
"
I would liken the taste to deodourant, if you have ever been unfortunate enough to get some in your mouth. YUK."
